Clara Wallace is a self-taught digital artist who enjoys creative endeavors using Illustrator and Photoshop. She is known for her character illustrations and chick graphics (caricatures). Clara’s design work includes projects for Creative Memories, Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, Chick Necessities Apparel & Accessories, Scrapbook MAX!, among others. Her latest business venture is Fortune True re-usable bags of delightful design.
Upbeat and optimistic, Clara loves to see the positive side of life. She tries to make good things happen for herself and others whenever she can. She finds it satisfying to help others and to make connections with people that cross her path.
“In the Chinese culture,” says Clara, “There is a legend about a Red Thread. The legend says an invisible red thread connects us to those we are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may tangle or stretch, but it will never break. I love the thought of that and know that I’ve met a lot of people through my art who are connected to me through that red thread.”
I was honored to be an inaugural member of the Editorial Board at Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. It was a great opportunity - I wrote articles about digital scrapbooking and had several of my layouts published. One of the feature online articles was about avatars - this is how I started making chick graphics!
