Scrapwow is a family-centered Web site that combines the leading edge of technology with the long held tradition of scrapbooking in an easy, user-friendly environment for people on all experience levels. Photo Sharing At its roots, ScrapWOW gives its members a unique and secure website of their own to share photos with family and friends. Originally designed as a one-of-a-kind web page for family and friends to view photos of their new baby, the creator of ScrapWow, Nick Romer, decided to open the site to the public after his family and friends raved at the online photo display he had created and wanted the same for themselves.
Today, ScrapWOW can simplify your answers to photo sharing, photo storage, and if you want to give it a try - even digital scrapbooking. One basic purpose of the site is it gives members professionally designed scrapbook backdrops to upload their photos into (as seen here). The photos are displayed in a “slide show” format, and each page can be stopped and the photo enlarged simply by clicking on it. This solves the problem of emailing large photo files that get lost in spam filters. Instead members can send a simple link to their family and friends whenever they want to share photos. While some other ‘photo sharing’ sites retain the rights to your photos, ScrapWOW never retains these precious rights, nor do they ever use your photos in any way. Many other sites use random clients’ photos for advertising purposes but at ScrapWOW, your photos belong to you and you choose who has the opportunity to view them.
